2023.10.12 IMPORTANT
Producer Letter (October 12, 2023)
Hello, adventurers! Thank you for always playing Last Cloudia.
This is Producer Takeuchi (Knacky).
On October 15, 2023, Last Cloudia will celebrate its 4.5 year anniversary.
This is entirely in thanks to everyone who supports Last Cloudia each and every day.
Thank you so much!
I’ve had a hectic three months after taking over the role of producer from Producer Takeshima (Takeson) in July of this year, with the large-scale summer promotions, the gigantic triple collab, and the official release of Guild Battle.
I will never forget how nervous I was on the first Japanese livestream.
In this Producer’s Letter, I would like to go over the roadmap and important updates for the future that were talked about in the official Last Cloudia TV livestream recently.
■ October
・★6 Enhancement
★6 enhancement will be unlocked for ten units. This will continue to happen every month from here on out.
・Popularity Poll Event
This is a special event in which the unit that ranks first in the popularity poll will have a shift released at a later date.
All you need to do is vote once per day to get crystals, so be sure to cast votes for your favorite units!
The number of votes will be combined between the Japanese and Global versions of the game. This is the first time a popularity poll is being held between both the Japanese and Global versions, and I’m really looking forward to seeing which unit takes the top spot.
・First Team-up Bonus Reset
You can get up to a total of 6,100 crystals again after this reset.
・Main Story Added
More main story, the true star of Last Cloudia, will be added. This time, you should expect some really exciting content.
Also, starting today, a free continue promotion begins, so take this opportunity to advance through the main story.
・Rankings Events and a High Difficulty Multiplayer Event Released.
The October and November rankings events are single quest time trials.
■ November
・Arena renewal
In this renewal, we plan to make the following non-battle related changes to the arena system.
One major change is that, currently your arena ranking changes depending on the number of trophies you have, but after the renewal, your ranking will change based on if you win or lose each battle, and the number of attacks per day will be limited to 10.
This adjustment is being made to deemphasize the importance of doing a high number of battles as a factor for getting a high rank, as well as to balance the time investment required for arena.
Additionally, various rewards, such as rank retention rewards will be added, so please look forward to it.
■ December
・Christmas Event and New Year’s Promotions
Although we do this every year, this time we plan to release some really great promotions. You should definitely look forward to what’s coming.
■ January – March
・Arena Revisions
After the arena renewal in November, we plan to further revise arena based on everyone’s feedback and play status.
Additionally, although currently only in the discussion phase, we are also considering adding new elements to arena, such as events that will add terrain effects for a limited time.
・Planned Main Story Additions and Rankings Event Release
We’ll let you know about the format of the rankings event once we get closer to release.
That completes the overview of the roadmap.
Of course, we’re also planning other events, large-scale promotions, and collaborations not listed above, so please look forward to those as well.
Next, I want to let you know about some important future updates.
There are four major points, so I will explain them in the order from the top.
The first point is improving force quitting of the app.
First of all, we want to apologize for the time it took us to respond to your daily inquiries and reports on social media about the app force quitting.
We recognize that the app force quitting is a huge factor that greatly detracts from Last Cloudia’s gameplay experience, so we plan to focus on this issue.
We will continue to work towards identifying and resolving this issue, but we will let you know as soon as we have any further information that we can share.
At the same time, battles are becoming a bit more sluggish, so we will continue to improve performance.
The second point I’d like to talk about is the improvement of difficult-to-use functions and parts of the game where the user experience is less than exceptional.
One example is shown in the image, but there are so many areas I’d like to improve, that there isn’t enough space for me to go over them all individually here, so we’ll update you on each when you can.
Additionally, all of the requests we’ve received from everyone are also incredibly helpful, so we hope you will continue to provide us more feedback through inquiries and social media.
The third point is reducing the amount of time it takes to train units.
I believe that, since the 4.5 year anniversary, the amount of training content that is necessary in Last Cloudia has increased, and that the amount of time required for training has increased considerably. One of the major charms of Last Cloudia is the ability to thoroughly train your favorite units, but I can also see the viewpoint of those who find constant training to be a bit monotonous, so we plan to make adjustments from a variety of perspectives.
In the image, there are two major descriptions, one of which is reducing the time required for repeated activities.
By reducing the time it takes to perform repetitive training activities, we hope to also lessen the load of training for everyone.
The second major point is to revise the amount of training materials obtained and the chance to obtain them as necessary. Recently, from the summer, we’ve increased the number of training materials available in events, but we will continue to make adjustments based on everyone’s play status.
Finally, the last point is the creation of content that will enable you to actively use the units you’ve put work into training.
After all, one of most fun things about Last Cloudia is being able to take the units you’ve trained into battle, so we will make updates that let you further enjoy the units you’ve put effort into training.
Also, though it may be some time before we can provide you with more details, we hope that you’ll look forward to the development of more large-scale content like Guild Battle.
For now, that’s all I can say about the important future updates.
I want to focus on introducing these items more than ever before. Of course, you can rest assured that this doesn’t mean we won’t add updates that aren’t shown in this image.
We’ll announce further details at the appropriate time for each update.
In this Producer’s Letter, I’ve talked about the roadmap going forward and about important future updates.
First, I hope that you all fully enjoy the 4.5 year anniversary event that starts today.
Even at its 4.5 year anniversary, we can confidently say that Last Cloudia is still continuing to evlolve. If I’m being honest, I still think there’s plenty of room to make the game even more interesting and fun than it already is.
In order to meet everyone’s expectations, the Last Cloudia team is working hard to present you with content that you can honestly say is fun. We will continue to develop and operate as a unified team to provide content that we think you will all enjoy, and hope that you will continue to support us!
We appreciate your continued support of Last Cloudia.
